Hi there! We are the four Hafner Vineyard dogs, and we thought that while everyone is “sheltering in place” it is time you officially meet us. We hope you enjoy a little levity in your day. And if you have a dog (or cat or any pet) toss them an extra biscuit for us! We know it can be tough sheltering in place for you humans, but think about us! Now we have to share our homebase with you all.

Spencer Engelke is a Healdsburg native and has worked on and off with us since he was 16. Now he is full-time and handles the shipping of our wine. Quite the inspired mixologist, in the evenings, you might find him making drinks behind the bar at the Geyserville Gun Club or concocting new inspirations at his homemade Tiki Bar.

Javier Castellanos joined the HV vineyard crew two years ago and quickly learned how the team works together. He turned to veteran member Antonio for guidance when working with our split canopy. In Javier's spare time, he enjoys exploring the towns of Sonoma County and spending time with friends. Something you might not expect... he likes dancing!

Ricardo Juarez is the Assistant Winemaker (along with many other jobs). Three generations of his family have worked at Hafner Vineyard - his dad, then him and now his daughter who helps at Spring Tastings. In his spare time, you can find him cooking or fishing and spending time with his three kids.
