With twelve years of age, the 2013 is soft and elegant with aromas of blackberries, cinnamon, fresh mint, new leather and fennel salami. It is well integrated with flavors of bresaola, coffee bean, sweet vanilla and bittersweet chocolate. It has a nice structure and a long, lingering finish. If cellared carefully, it will continue to develop and mature for at least another seven years. 

In comparison, the 2020 Cabernet is fruit-forward and youthful. It opens with aromas of cassis, raspberries and vanilla. Bright and lively on the palate, it has notes of nutmeg, Picholine olives, dark chocolate and steak tartare. Its long, chewy finish adds depth and complexity to the wine. The 2020 is young in comparison to its predecessors, and it has the structure and richness to age well for at least fifteen years.
