Local Fun

Explore Wine Country

While wine tasting is the reason for most visits to Sonoma County, we have many other fun things to do in Healdsburg and the surrounding area. Our county is unique in that it stretches from the Pacific Coast to the Mayacamas Mountains.

All of us here at Hafner Vineyard enjoy exploring our county, and we’ve created a list of our favorite outings. Healdsburg and the surrounding towns can offer something for everyone from hiking in the redwoods to picnicking on the beach, from visiting local museums to exploring the farmers' markets and much more.

We hope you can take advantage of some of these activities in Wine Country, and we look forward to hearing about your favorites.

Day Trip to the Sonoma Coast

A nice drive through winding back country roads, a walk on the beach and lunch at locals' favorite bistro in Graton. What a great way to round out a Wine Country Weekend. Click here to read about a fun day trip.

Shop with the Chefs

On Saturday mornings from May to November, the Healdsburg Farmers' Market is where you’ll find all the locals...and great produce! Read our blog to learn about some of our favorite purveyors.

Explore Wine Country on Bikes

Spoke Folk Cyclery offers bicycle rentals and route recommendations throughout Wine Country.

Walk with the Giants (Redwoods...not Baseball Team)

If you are feeling like a picnic, walk or strenuous hike...The trees here – the world’s tallest living things – soar skyward and sunlight dapples the forest floor more than 300 feet below.

A Bakery That's Worth A Drive

Wildflour Bakery creates wonderful breads, scones, and more. Always busy, it is a perfect spot to stop on your way to the Coast. The cheese fougasse is a favorite.

A Little Peace & Quiet at Osmosis

Osmosis Spa (near Wildflour Bakery above) has massages, facials and Cedar Enzyme Baths. Don't miss the Japanese mediation garden and the Field of Hammocks.

Love Old Planes?

The Pacific Aviation Museum at the Charles M. Schulz Sonoma County Airport is for you! Over 30 vintage aircraft are on display, many of which you can climb aboard.

Kick Your Feet Up & Relax

Spa Dolce near the Healdsburg Plaza offers a selection of massages, facials and more. A nice way to relax in Wine Country.
