Mixed Case of 2007 & 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon (12 - 750ml)
Wine lovers appreciate the opportunity to taste a young vintage against one that’s had the benefit of additional aging. Here is how to share that fun with family and friends! It is a unique opportunity to compare a five year old and ten year old Cabernet.
This mixed case includes six bottles each of 2007 and 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon.
With eleven years of age, the 2007 is rich in structure and still very youthful. It has aromas of blackberries, violets, black cherries, carpaccio and mint. It is supple, soft and round on the palate with notes of dark chocolate, leather and sweet vanilla. Its long, lingering finish adds richness and depth to the wine. Now at eleven years of age, the 2007 displays how well our Cabernets develop and age. It has the structure and balance to continue to develop well for at least an additional eight years.
In comparison, the 2012 Cabernet is fruit-forward and lively. It opens with bright aromas of black cherries, raspberries, strawberries and violets. Supple and round on the palate, it has notes of India ink, carpaccio, vanilla and nutmeg. Its long, lingering finish adds depth and complexity to the wine. At six years of age, the 2012 is young in comparison to the 2007, but it has the structure and richness to age well for at least twelve years.
