Hafner Vineyard

Our Blog - The Press

Our New Look

Welcome to our new website! It was brought to life by feedback from patrons and implemented by Scott and Kate, with photographic expertise from Sandy. In fact, everyone at HV helped in one way or another. The goal was to allow patrons to see more of what’s happening here by increasing the size and frequency of photos, reducing what viewers have to read, simplifying the order process and creating a way to share stories with patrons and friends on a weekly basis. We hope that you enjoy the changes and welcome any thoughts you have.

The Press is our “blog”…a way to keep you abreast of activity in the winery and vineyard, plus stories from our patrons, places to explore in the area, “do-it-yourself” projects and more. The authors will be different HV team members.

We’ve enlisted Vineyard Manager David Huebel to share some of his thoughts…what the first day of the 2014 Harvest is like, when the weather makes him worry. Winemaker Parke Hafner will write about what helps him decide when to pick the grapes and why we blend Petit Verdot and Malbec into the Cabernet. Sarah may share her secrets on tasting and Scott and Kate will give updates on new vintages and Annual Tasting Program perks.

We also thought it would be fun to share some of our other passions outside of wine. Mary Hafner’s Saturday morning trips to our farmers market. Parke’s favorite bike routes around the county. Dick’s secrets to growing luscious garlic. And more!

Plus stories from you…our patrons! Each morning we are greeted by wonderful emails and phone calls from patrons who share their stories: of a bottle they saved and opened for a special occasion, a surprise encounter of Hafner on a restaurant list they visited or even how their children (or grandchildren!) are now interested in wine and they want to pass on the tradition. As always, thank you for sharing your Hafner experiences with us.

We hope that you enjoy reading The Press. If there is anything that you would like to know or learn about, please let us know. (For fun, quick tidbits, visit us on Facebook.)
