Unlike our other wines, the growing season has less impact on our Rosé because it is intended to be enjoyed when it is young and fruity, within the year. The grapes for this wine were harvested on October 16 and the juice measured :
0.48 g/100 mls acidity
Produced from only Malbec grapes, the 2012 Rosé was fermented cold in a temperature-controlled stainless steel tank to retain its fruity components. We carefully monitored its color, sugar and acidity to ensure that the wine was fruit-forward and well-balanced. Bottled in February 2013, this Rosé had:
0.50g/100 mls acidity
In 2013, we were pleased to release our second Rosé to our patrons. In April 2013, the Rosé was fruit-driven with the classic aromas of watermelon, strawberries and rose petals, it is fresh, lively on the palate with a nice crisp finish. Perfect for a warm Summer day. Only 480 cases were produced.
As a Rosé wine ages, the fruit characteristics tend to dissipate which is why we encourage people to enjoy this wine within a year or so of its release date.
