Chardonnay
Light snow followed by a wet Spring delayed the growing season; harvest came late with our last Chardonnay harvested on October 3. Still youthful with melon and pear aromas; a hint of flintiness adds complexity and interest. Creamy, well-balanced and a sweet vanilla finish. Lovely now. Will age well for at least another two years.
An excellent growing season with our coolest Summer in 25 years brought lovely fruit at harvest. A perfect example of a balanced, well-aged Chardonnay: grapefruit, sweet cream, flinty, has developed nice bottle bouquet. Rich on the palate, vanilla toastiness adds depth to the wine. Elegant in balance. Enjoy now or within the year.
